Regulatory issues have taking much of the Ecoenergy and Biomass Day schedule.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n S\u00e3o Paulo, May 29, 2018 \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0 The 7th EnerSolar + Brazil –Feira Internacional de Tecnologias para Energia Solar (<\/em>International Fair of Technologies for Solar Energy) had great prominence for regulatory issues with dozens of presentations and releases in the areas of solar, photovoltaic, wind and biomass, besides GTDC – Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Commercialization of Energy. The fair took place from May 22 to 24 at the S\u00e3o Paulo Expo and brought together 12 thousand visitors, including engineers, installers, integrators, distributors and directors, receiving positive feedback from speakers and exhibitors.<\/p>\n The event was held in a scenario in which the Brazilian solar energy matrix ranks 5th in the world in installed capacity and the country is considering joining the Solar International Alliance. “The mobilization of society around NBR 16690 for electrical installations in photovoltaic systems is an example of market demand for regulatory issues to facilitate the growth of the sector,” declared Rimantas Sipas, Cipa Fiera Milano Director, the event\u2019s organizer and promoter.<\/p>\n In addition to the exhibition area, with 70 companies presenting their solutions and launches, the main debates, lectures and roundtables took place at the 8th Ecoenergy and at the 2nd Biomass Day – Congresso Internacional da Biomassa <\/em>(International Biomass Congress).<\/p>\n Ecoenergy & Biomass Day<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the Cipa Fiera Milano content producer, Tatiana Dalben Munhoz, Ecoenergy developed from discussions about the review and improvement of the regulatory framework of the electrical sector from the point of view of specialists that addressed possible impacts on the development of solar energy. Initiatives to overcome economic obstacles, fundraising, technological innovation and results of implemented programs were some themes that guided the debates to integrate the agents and encourage action plans that move the business.\u00a0One of the information that most attracted participants was that Brazil uses only 10% of its installed solar energy capacity, according to Moacir Marchi Filho, president of Dasol – Departamento Nacional de Energia Solar T\u00e9rmica da Abrava<\/em>(Abrava’s National Solar Thermal Energy Department).<\/p>\n Biomass Day has addressed challenges and bottlenecks for the development of biomass in Brazil, both for the production of electricity, focusing on operational and financial efficiency, as well as for trends in the generation of bioproducts with high added value. “The debates involved technological innovation, operational integration, technological chain effectiveness, biorefinery implementation, financing and security for new investments through RenovaBio\u201d he said. At the opening of the event, the potential of the draft law resulting from public consultation No. 33 of 2017 of the Ministry of Mines and Energy was discussed, when Marcelo Couto, director of M&A and Bioenergy of Ra\u00edzen, stated that Brazil can even double the generation of energy from biomass.<\/p>\n Feedback from lecturers and exhibitors<\/strong><\/p>\n Ruberval Baldini, executive director of BR Solar<\/strong>and president of Abeama – Brazilian Association of Alternative Energies and Environment, participated in the congresses both as a speaker and moderator and made a very positive evaluation of the experience. “The speakers were great and we got the main message of the importance of participating in the public consultation for photovoltaic systems, which ended on the 24th. The Participants were engaged.”<\/p>\n According to Baldini, no segment in terms of energy is growing more in Brazil than solar, so the importance of more regulation.
